Importance of communication

It is no doubt that communication plays a vital role in human life. It not only helps to facilitate the process of sharing information and knowledge, but also helps people to develop relationships with others. Therefore, the importance of communication cannot be underestimated

What I Do

I provide speech and language services to the pediatric and adult populations. With children I specialize in language disorders, articulation disorders, fluency disorders and voice/resonance disorders. I also work with adults in the areas cognitive re-training, dysarthria treatment, dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders.

my story

I have been a speech language pathologist for 10 years now. Prior to my career as a speech language pathologist, I worked in the business side of IT and insurance for 3 years. My undergraduate degree is in marketing from Monmouth University, however my passion to help individuals led me back to school where I earned my Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from La Salle I worked for 2 1/2 years at a sub acute rehab/skilled nursing facility. I then moved to Florida and started my career with children. I currently work with preschoolers in a school setting as well as having my own private practice servicing Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Explain Your Mission

To me, speech and language therapy is not just about the therapy, but treating the patient as whole. I love getting to interact and meet new individuals as well as providing them with ways to improve their communication. It is so rewarding for me to see my patients achieve their goals and grow. Therapy with every person is different, and I work very hard at tailoring my therapy and goals to exactly what the patient needs and what will help them succeed.
